My First Post (wood)

The Minecraft blog was created to show those beginning players how to play this game and how to get started.(no download tutorial included)

To start off this game, when you step in to your new world before the night falls you need to get some wood or materials to build a temporary shelter. For those beginners who don't know what wood looks like, this is what it looks like:

 For those players who just got this game to break a block place your little + curser on the chosen block, click and hold. Upon doing this you will see a progression of cracks spread across the surface and the block will break. I would like to thank Wiki Minecraft for these pictures.


To use these blocks for any thing other than building you will need to turn them into wood planks by placing them in the little 4x4 crafting table in your inventory. You will need these wood planks to do any thing progressive in Minecraft like building a sword, pick ax, axe, crafting table and other stuff. Also wood houses look pretty snazzy too.
